Connection wiring
Use this route as a wiring checklist, not as a substitute for the product-specific terminal diagram. The correct connection depends on the exact model, board revision, input range, and attached sensor or bus.
Before wiring
- Isolate the power source and verify that the circuit cannot be energized accidentally.
- Confirm the supply voltage, current capacity, polarity, and protection required by the product.
- Identify the exact terminal map and connector orientation for the hardware revision.
- Check sensor, bus, and I/O compatibility before attaching a field cable.
- Plan strain relief, enclosure sealing, and protective earth or shield connections where the product requires them.
Wiring note: Never substitute a terminal, sensor, or supply connection because it looks similar. Stop and check the product diagram when a label or pinout is unclear.
Connection sequence
- Keep the power source isolated.
- Match every conductor to the product terminal map, including polarity and reference ground.
- Connect the supply conductors and secure the cable against movement.
- Connect the sensor, bus, or I/O wiring required for the installation.
- Inspect for loose strands, reversed polarity, short circuits, and exposed conductors.
- Power up only after the physical inspection is complete.
Commissioning check
After power-up, verify the complete signal path:
- Supply remains stable within the specified range.
- Device indicators show the expected startup state.
- Gateway or bus sees the device with the correct identity.
- Sensor values are plausible and use the expected units.
- A known-good command or measurement reaches the target system.
Keep a photo or marked-up diagram of the final installation with the product revision and date. It shortens the next service visit and makes future changes safer.
