Store manual
Use this guide before unpacking, mounting, or powering an ALAB device. Start with the exact product page and board revision, then keep the connection wiring reference beside the hardware while you work.
Identify the product
Before connecting anything, confirm the following details on the product page, label, or supplied documentation:
- Product name, model, and hardware revision.
- Included enclosure, terminal blocks, probes, cables, or mounting parts.
- Input voltage range, polarity, and expected operating environment.
- Firmware or gateway requirements for the intended installation.
Product note: Ratings, terminals, and sensor compatibility are product-specific. Do not infer a pinout or operating limit from a similar enclosure.
Before first power-up
- Inspect the enclosure, connectors, and PCB for transport damage.
- Confirm the supply is within the product’s specified input range.
- Keep power disconnected until the connection wiring checks are complete.
- Prepare the gateway, test load, sensor, or network required for commissioning.
- Record the initial device state so later troubleshooting has a known baseline.
During use
Follow the product-specific sequence for mounting, sensor placement, network pairing, and calibration. Verify that indicators, measurements, and system messages match the expected behavior before leaving the device unattended.
For connected installations, keep the device accessible until the first successful reading or command has been confirmed through the target system. Continue with Integrations when the local device checks are complete.
Care and storage
- Keep the enclosure, connectors, and sensor interfaces within their specified environmental limits.
- Protect unused connectors from moisture, dust, and accidental contact.
- Disconnect power before moving, opening, or servicing the device.
- Store the device dry and protected from mechanical stress when it is not installed.
If a reading, indicator, or startup sequence is unexpected, use Troubleshooting before repeating the power-up cycle.
